Laurencekirk's Denlethen Woods

Located south west of Laurencekirk, Denlethen Woods is the perfect place for those who like walking, jogging, cycling, dog walking and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Laurencekirk High Street.

There are a few entrances to the woods, the commonly used pnes are crossing the railway bridge halfway along the Oaty Hill road, or via the main entrance which is off the back line.

I sometimes go for a run around the woods and you normally pass other joggers, but beware the woods are used by dog walkers too so I suggest wearing old trainers and watching where you lay your feet.
