Mearns Academy (secondary school)

Mearns Academy is a secondary school which as well as catering for Laurencekirk's 12 - 18 year olds it also accepts those who come from the surrounding area, such as Fettercairn, Fordoun and Luthermuir.

The school has a wide range of facilities for its pupils. A large playing field with football goals, established foreign exchanges with schools in France and Germany and a dining hall for lunches and assemblies.

Laurencekirk Primary School

Laurencekirk Primary School was built in 1999 due to the sheer amount of pupils in the area.

The School is very modern looking. There is a large playground for the children to use during breaks.
